Why don’t you run firebot from Linux? I’m pretty sure Linux will be more stable than Windows…

No idea, to be honest. but regardless, its still nice to be able to pick up abandoned code and carry it to a major release.

Is there any other software which has been seven years between major releases? Emacs 21 to 22 was supposed to be really long, and that’s only 5.75 years.

intense writing. You’ve done some great work.
When I went to Maine to take a sailing class, one of my fellow students was a guy who had been a startup programmer with Intel. In his 30′s he realized that he didnt have to work anymore. He also realized that there was a lot of world that he had never experienced. So he set out to try and make up lost time. You seem to have gotten to that place a lot earlier.

As the original author of bzbot (on which firebot is based), I’d be very happy to see him turned into a mozbot module. It’s been discussed many times in the past on #mozwebtools (where both he and mozbot were born), just nobody’s ever got around to it.
And hey, the license is compatible.

So if I actually knew what I was doing, then times when I’m only in #firefox for firebot and wish the chatterers would shut up, I could just create a new channel and invite firebot to join it? That’d be nice. If I knew what I was doing.
